Camp Description

Take your Minecraft play to the next level with Creative Level 2 Camp

Campers will learn how to use Redstone Blocks to create movement and automation on their Minecraft Creations.

We’ll drop in some timed build battles where campers build something to suit the given theme. Campers will be given the chance to collaborate with others or build on their own. Your child will build confidence in Minecraft creative mode while our specialized Codo Staff member leads them through new content everyday!

We let your child’s imagination run wild as they think about designing their own house, farms, amusement parks and more, all on our Private and Secure Minecraft server.

  • Playing on Minecraft Java Edition
  • Focused on "Creative Mode"
  • More advance buildings and with Redstone functions
  • Themed Days (Castles, Theme Park, etc)
  • Daily instructor-led objectives to do in Minecraft that allow for campers to put their imagination on display
  • Learn soft skills from an Adult instructor that is a 'fun-expert' and great at connecting with children
  • Fun break-time activities throughout the week that keep the kids interacting with each other

We include interesting facts related to each daily theme - that way your kids are learning new things as they play!

Camp runs for 2 hours each day, from Monday to Friday.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who runs the camps?
Each camp is ran by a live host. They are there to organize the activities, supervise the game play, help the kids as needed and generally entertain!
All of our hosts are vetted and experienced with kids. They're all adults, and based in Alberta, Canada. Most of them work for our Laser Tag facility, Laser City.

How do the camps work?
Codo Camps run on our custom video conferencing system, that we call Base Camp. The campers (up to 6 of them) and the Host can all see and hear each other. When we're playing games, like Minecraft and Roblox, we play on our own Private Servers, so it's just our group playing. Most camps run for 2 hour a day, for 5 days.

Do my kids need more screen time?
Fair point! We feel there's "good screen time" and "bad screen time", and we obviously feel our camps fall into the "good" category. Why? Well, rather than just mindlessly watching YouTube or playing video games, while kids are in our camps they're getting to socialize, develop important communication skills, plus being exposed to positive role models (our hosts). We totally understand that parents are wary about adding more screen time to their kids days, but our camps are about as good as screen time can be!

Are the camps safe?
Yes. Our camps are private (it's only the kids in that camp and their host) and secure (we use a unique "Codo Code" system to prevent un-authorized access). All of our Hosts are vetted and trained, plus all our camps are monitored by a supervisor at all times.

Do parents need to help?
Generally no. Most kids are absolutely fine on their own once they get going. Some younger kids might need to assistance from mom or dad with using the computer, but we make everything super simple.
Before your first camp you'll do an orientation to make sure all of your technology is properly setup and everything is working.
It's totally cool if you want to hang out with your child, but most parents take the opportunity to get some work done or have a break while their kids are "in camp".
